"The match is about to begin. There is one very interesting thing I haven't mentioned yet, which my colleagues brought to my attention today: the piste (fencing strip) they are competing on is entirely a Hungarian development. It is associated with the name of István Pallagi, so we can be proud of this. After a long time, the technical problem I mentioned yesterday has been solved. Great forces are at play here—as we can see now, the English competitor is extremely energetic and moves back and forth a lot. If it wasn’t for this great Hungarian piste, it would certainly cause serious problems; for example, they could bend the strip or it might shift. The old pistes could be damaged very easily, but thankfully, that is no longer the issue. They’ve tested the guard; the guard doesn’t signal, so if they hit each other's guard, it won’t register a point, and anyway, the whole..."
